Obligatory ‘I’m Back. Now What?’ Post

So I’m back… Not that anyone would care.

So When xxxHOLiC Is Categorized As Psychological, Was It Because They Want To Screw With Our Heads?

I rage… What story am I really following here???

OK… before anything else, xxxHOLiC is one of my favorite CLAMP series. I found great appeal in the story about a boy who works as a butt monkey for a gluttonous alcoholic witch who talks in riddles and never gives a straight answer for anything unless it involves food and drink. Well, it’s one of the things you gotta love as a CLAMP fan… More appeal than its crossover series, Tsubasa Chronicle – which is actually the series that introduced me to this one.

Sure, I’ll be honest… I placed the manga on hold. It’s kinda hard to read through a chapter of it since they’re released weeks apart and the only thing they usually end up with more questions than answers. I used to read it in arcs. But ever since the story became more intertwined with Tsubasa Chronicles (meaning they’re getting to the end of both series), I’m waiting for one of them to finish before picking up the manga again. It’s kinda hard to read through spreads of nice Syaoran/Sakura and Yuuko art but not have not much movement, which is what I usually get if I just read it by chapter.

Detroit Metal City is one of the funniest shows I’ve seen for 2008.  I never thought that I would ever go back to liking to anything related to metal music ever again. I got over my heavy and death metal phase when I was in high school when my I stopped letting my brothers influencing my musical tastes and succumbed to peer pressure and started listening to boybands (ahh… the pains of being in an all-girls’ school).

I never thought a story about a death metal band that glorifies raep and murder would be so awesome! After all, the only show like that I ever liked even related to death metal would have been Beavis and Butthead and man… that was a stupid show. But I still stayed up late before just to watch it when my parents were not in the immediate area to be horrified..
