Special A 19 ~Singing Voice●Bad Guy~ & 20 ~Switch●At The Edge~

Well… you can’t break something that’s already broken so it’s no wonder Hikari survived a head-on collision with the hard ground.

Episode 19

After learning that Akira and Tadashi were now officially going out, Megumi came over to Yahiro’s home to declare her love for him and asked him out. Yahiro accepted under the context that it’s a trial date. And because of that, she was unable to go out with SA on an outing to visit a sick Hikari. The date was disastrous – mainly due to Yahiro’s unwillingness to cooperate. When he criticized her for writing instead of talking, she threw her sketchpad in the trash and started talking to him normally. The thing is, she started telling him stuff that hit him hard so he told her to shut up and got her a writing slate. When the conversation turned to her singing and why she wouldn’t sing in public, she mentioned that she should try it on one of Akira’s tea parties. He turned silent but they weren’t able to swell on it because they (meaning she) spent time dodging Ryuu and Jun who were there shopping for some stuff for Hikari. When the boys caught with them, Ryuu confronted Yahiro, making false accusations about using Megumi for another one of his schemes to which he admitted to. Megumi came to his defense and told the boys not to interfere with their date. Later, Yahiro told her that she didn’t have to worry about it since he had no intentions of ruining things for Akira. Megumi realizes that it was because he was in love with her  Megumi thought about how he would worry about Skira if there was no one to worry about him. She ended up singing a song that got him to tears, but even after that, she wouldn’t admit that he had any fun.

I enjoyed episode 19 very much. Yahiro suddenly became one of my favorite characters in the series. Apart from the antics that is ever-present and ever-irritating, the YahiroX Megumi pairing was pretty sweet.. it’s such a shame though… that they’re not gonna be delved with in succeeding episodes since it will undoubtedly turn to Hikari and Kei soon though.

The most effective way to get your message across to the one to you love.

Episode 20

After winning a lottery (second place) and the other members of SA being busy, Hikari, Jun and Kei went to the amusement park. They were followed by Sakura, who has been tailing Jun in order to get a straight answer from him  At the sight of her, Inner Jun appeared came to him and surrounded himself with girls. Hikari, Kei and Sakura split up to look for him – where Sakura started realizing (through criticism by other girls) that Jun probably hates her, which is why he was running away from him. When Jun came back to his normal self, he defended Sakura from the girls before running away. She went after him. he admitted that he was in love with her because she loved both sides of him. But if Inner Jun comes out at the sight of her (which used to be riggered by kissing), he couldn’t think what would happen if he touched her. Then Sakura asked him to touched her cheek and Jun remained the same and said that she was very warm.

Episode 20 was also nice, but I had a hard time enjoying it. All the antics that they had to go through injected with short, meaningful moments of the episode until they got to the sweet Jun X Sakura ending was kinda tiring. By the time Sakura and jun got to their ending, I only found it pretty nice.

Anyway, the end of episode 20 showed Kei’s grandfather calling for Kei to come to London much to the protests of Kei’s father. The next couple of episodes until the series ended will undoubtedly focus on Kei and Hikari. To be honest, I am more dreading than anticipating it (not that I’m not anticipating it because I did pick up the manga for this pairing), but the failure to build the Hikari X Kei pairing makes me feel like everything is going to be rushed unless they can twist it to give it a proper ending.

I enjoyed ep 19 more than 20. Megumi was funny and I’m liking Yahiro despite his “hate me!” chara since although he’s a jerk, he’s a jerk with good intentions and non-jerk moments too. I don’t read the manga, but I hope Megumi and Yahiro end up together. They look compatible to me. :D
