Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu 07 ~I Love It~

Posted by biankita on September 6, 2008

You know the episode’s  villain when you see it! Who stomps over a plushie??? Really??? It still needs love even though it looks like an odd mix of a monkey and a panda.

Picking up from the previous episode, Haruka’s father discovered Haruka’s secret hobby and scared her out of the house. As he was summoning his Hell Hound Army to take Haruka back home, Haruka went over Yuuto’s house to cry while she told him about it. Hazuki followed her there, but not to take her back home, but to guard her believing that she can make up her own mind about what to do.

Anyway, Ruuko and Yukari came out from their drinking in the  living room and started teasing Yuuto about Haruka. They teased him about it – in front of the love joke oblivious Haruka – Yuuto went to the point of losing his cool and walked out on them. He ended up by the stairs where he was getting a status report about the situation at home. Mika assured him that if they can hold out for 23 hours, she will bring the ultimate  weapon against their father to which Yuuto visualized a gigantic mecha.

He went back to the living room and found everyone asleep, except for Hazuki who was already drunk but wanting to patrol the area. He carried Haruka to the spare room and went back to his own where he spend a lot of time tossing and turning having fantasies about Haruka undressing before him. Haruka came to his room, telling her that she couldn’t sleep because she was afraid of the dark. To his panic, she ended up sleeping on the floor of his room. They held hands at her request and he realized that Haruka was feeling insecure about the whole thing.

The next morning, Haruka’s father and his Hell Hound Army attacked the home where Hazuki and Ruuko held them back. But when he got to Yuuto and threw him to the wall. Haruka finally stood up to her father and told him that she loved all things otaku. Her father was about to argue back when Mika and her maid showed up with the secret weapon that she promised which turned out to be their mother, whom their father feared.

She argued that this was the first time that Haruka ever made a decision by herself and that she didn’t understand manga or anime, but they should give credit to their daughter. Well, in the end, Haruka’s parents left, with her father “not approving” of Yuuto, and everyone went to breakfast.

Yeah… I got too lazy to blog for the last couple of days because of other commitments that always left me too exhausted to do anything else but sleep and just browse through AnimeNano (Thanks a lot the two people who spoiled everything for my Geass Day.)

The episode was pretty cute. Of course it would be because it’s progress to Yuuto and Haruka’s relationship, which is generally the only draw that this series had for me. I’m not into the whole hardships of otakus encounter they have in life – I have been blessed (would be the operative word) to be surrounded by someone who always understood my interest in it so I developed the who-cares attitude. I’m so happy for this big leap in the episode! Me ish happy!

With episodes like this, it made me appreciate my father who lived with the comfortable image of me growing up in my room watching “harmless cartoons” as long as I’m not getting drunk in my room and getting pregnant. What he doesn’t know won’t hurt him. :) It might give him a heart attack, so bliss in ignorance is the solution.

By the way, you just have to love how statements like this…
