Episode 8

A girl came to shop. She was really close to Chikage and Tachibana and cried at Chikage that he mother has been hitting her because she didn’t like being hugged. Ono and Eiji were left guessing until it was revealed that she was actually the fourth-grader daughter of Chikage’s – she looked like she was in high school – until her mother came along. Anyway, they talked about it and it seemed that the mother (named Sakurano) is an award-winning writer and that she was getting old and wanted a kid with Chikage’s looks and her brains but she ended up being like Chikage through and through. It slipped out that she has a bad back or hernia or whatever which is why it’s hard to for her to handle the little big girl.

After the mother and daughter left, the four guys left to eat out – Tachibana’s treat because he was in such a good mood. In the restaurant (which looked like a traditional Japanese shop), they saw on TV a report that there was a little boy who has been kidnapped.

The episode was ok… kinda weh. And not enough cake pr0n to make me enthused to make a post for the episode alone. I don’t have much of an opinion on the episode. let’s just say that it was not my most favorite episode.

What was most shocking about this line is that there was absolutely nothing gay about it.

Episode 9

Eiji has been showing real talent and potential as a patissier so Ono proposed to Tachibana to have him attend French lessons in order for him to take the first steps into being a proper patissier. Company paid training and they sold it to him that he may want to head for France one day to study becoming a patissier or even opening his own shop. Eiji is not very enthusiastic about the whole deal, but goes because Ono wanted him to. Anyway, his temper has been short-fused lately. Tachibana even witnessed a fight he was in one night when he went out to buy some beer. Anyway, when he witness Tachibana taking over the choux a la crème baking duties in his absence, he zealously started early for work. Anyway, it was late that night when Eiji still hasn’t come back and Tachibana told Ono that it might be because he has been fighting. Ono found him in the park that when they went back to the shop, Eiji asked Ono if the reason why he was being asked to study French was being he was being chased off the place. Then said something about not being abandoned anymore like how he has been when he was an orphan. Anyway, Ono admitted to him that he is a very talented patissier and apologized for not making it that clear to him.

A side story of this show is Tachibana seeing a news report about another kid being kidnapped. He got stressed about it and went out to get beer (where he saw Eiji fighting), he started reflecting that the stature of limitation for kidnapping of children in Japan is five years and that the guy who kidnapped him when he was a kid will never be punished. Also, the police officer who worked on his case also reflected a lot on the same news report. Anyway, at the last part of the episode, Tachibana got home and found on the newspaper that the child that was kidnapped was found dead.

Good lord!!! This episode made me want to go to keiki heaven. I have to be a good girl from now on.

I actually enjoyed the episode a lot – just look at the cake pr0n I posted just above this paragraph -_- Now I am seriously wanting to start baking bread, which I haven’t done since I was 14.i have to admit that ever since I watched started watching this show, I have started baking more regularly than I usually did. Unfortunately for me, I still have to perfect my cream puffs.

But other than that, the story is really nice. I like Ono’s role as mentor on this episode as opposed to his usual role of gay guy. I have to say that the gayest person in this episode was Eiji. Well… not really gay. He’s more like one of those people who are afraid of being driven away and not accepted, which is kinda natural in people. Oh well…

I don’t know what the hell is going on with Tachibana. I think he’s suffering from survivor’s guilt. I don’t know what I’m talking about.

It was a really nice episode because of the lack of the gayness.

The funny thing is, the subs I watched mistranslated Eiji’s line to mean the opposite XD
