No, no… s/he has it all wrong. They’re called pedobears.

Kotoko is three months pregnant and of course, the Iries and Kotoko’s father are very excited about everything. Her friends in the hospital were happy for her too. But then they started talking about husbands being extraordinarily kind is a clear indication that he is having an affair because husbands start finding their wives unattractive because they let themselves go and stop wearing make-up. Of course, Kotoko being the gullible person with tendencies for generalizing stuff takes their advice to heart and starts following Naoki around the hospital where a cute, new nurse has been assigned to him. Kotoko’s talk with her friends was also overheard by Irie-mama, who is immediately suspicious of her own son.

This is the reason why teasing a gullible girl is so fun.

Anyway, Yuuko was there at Naoki’s advice for a detailed examination because of she’s been anemic a lot and has been fainting at work. On their way home, Kotoko asked Naoki what his nurse was like, trying to make him slip about an affair. Naoki notices that Kotoko was wearing make-up and complimented her on it and Kotoko becomes paranoid about the whole thing.

The next day, Yuuko was confined in the hospital, under observation for an ulcer. Kotoko takes note that Naoki calls the nurse, Yukie, with a -chan honorific and keeps throwing dirty looks at her direction that scares her. But Sudou came to distract all of them and asked Naoki about her condition. Naoki told him exactly how Yuuko described her condition to him. Sudou was relieved because he didn’t know what to do without her and admitted to them that he his feelings kept coming back to her.

This is the first time I’ve seen Naoki attempt teasing dorama and it was kinda creepy

On their way home, Naoki teased her about the lack of trust she had for her. Motoko and Marina wonders at how a single-celled organism like her has achieved with her love life.

That evening, they went to the opening of Kin-chan’s new restaurant, where Kin-chan also announced that he and Chris will finally be having their wedding. But then, her mother came. She was there when she and her husband received a letter from her. She was there to measure Kin-chan – which was all about looks. Chris’ mother proved that bad taste in men is hereditary when she approved of Kin-chan saying that he was obviously a great guy and gave them her blessing. Chris and Kin-chan are on their way to England to get married.

Is she talking about the current crown prince of England or the be-sparkled rocket-launching emperor of Britannia? Because frankly speaking, I’d rather have the latter than the former in my wedding

Back in the hospital, Kotoko gave Yuuko and Sudou the news. Sudou, who was there as a regular visitor chimed in that he wanted to get married too and have a kid. Yuuko had a little wave of pain and Kotoko came to get some meds for her in the nurses’ station where she encountered Yukie. She was already over the Naoki-may-be-cheating thing, but Yukie has developed a fear of Kotoko. Sudou came to the station and told her that Yuuko went missing from her room when he went to the restroom.

They found her outside working and commented that the two of them were making such a ruckus. When she got a phone call that she was needed at work, she said that she will go there. But Sudou stood his ground and took her back to her room and that she should stay there and rest. When she started ranting about being needed at work, Sudou slapped her only to have her rage back at home that no one came up to her except for Kotoko, telling her that she was still in her pajamas.

Target locked. Now fire. She can always blame it on the hormones anyway.

When they got back to the room, they overheard Naoki and Sudou talking about his concern for Yuuko because eventhough she appears capable and confident outside, she always has to work hard for everything that she is. After contemplating for a while, she went back to her room. She waved Sudou away telling him to go back to work. She assured him that he shouldn’t go away but she was not going to marry someone who doesn’t work hard.

Naoki and Kotoko arrived home that night. Irie-mama pulled Naoki aside and asked him about the pictures of him with various women and who he was having an affair with. But of course, Kotoko already knew that there was nothing going on. But Naoki asked her anyway if she still thought the same thing.

Taking away the laptop and cellphone (not to mention slapping) a workaholic is a dangerous thing.

The episode was really funny – from Chris’ mom to Yuuko’s outbursts. I enjoyed it so much that it almost made me forget that Naoki and Kotoko are actually the main characters since they’re pretty much on the sidelines while the recurring characters are wrapping up their stories. But I guess it’s one of those things that can’t be helped since Kotoko is pregnant and not much dorama would happen until the next episode, which looked kinda ominous. Actually, I already watched the last episode because I’m such an episode whore, but will not be blogging it because there are some stuff about the episode that I didn’t understand that much.

At this point, I’m no longer expecting anything from the show. Just the end of it… not that I want it to end because despite my whine on the first episodes about how much I dislike both Naoki on his asshole-y tendencies and because Kotoko is just a freaking moron, I love this show.
