Itazura na Kiss 24 ~Happy Love Carnival~

Oh shit, Kotoko really let herself go.
.
Kotoko is nearing her term already but she is still working in the hospital and taking iron supplements. Naoki is working on his thesis.
Everyone learns that Chris is three months pregnant when the friends got together when Chris and Kin-chan came back from their wedding in England. Kotoko has been taking iron supplements since pregnant women are prone to anemia. Anyway, Kotoko has been experiencing pains on her belly/stomach and even though Naoki has been asking her if anything was the matter, she didn’t want to interfere with his thesis.
At one time, Kotoko went home alone since Naoki wanted to finish something on his thesis and expeirenced a pain that led her to the hospital. Naoki felt guilty about it and promised not to be too preoccupied again and that he will be there when she gives birth. After that, Kotoko went on maternity leave and invited to Naoki to some kind of baby seminar of some sort. Of course, he was being fawned over by the female participants. Then Kotoko started to feel pain again and she was taken to the hospital. She was to stay there until she gave birth. Then Yuuko was rushed to the hospital because, according to Sudou (who she is now dating), she has been coughing up blood when he picked her up to the office. She required emergency surgery. Since there was no other doctor in the hospital – the one on shift was in emergency, Naoki volunteered to perform the surgery. There were doubts about Naoki performing since he’s never done anything other than assist in operations, Kotoko wandered around to tell everyone that Naoki’s a capable doctor. After that, Kotoko went into labor and gave birth to a a little girl.
Four years later, Kotomi became Kotoko’s main competition for Naoki’s affections.

Oh no! Kin-chan spawns.

Car salesman is hauled off into a horse-drawn carriage. Business must be bad.

I now demand a second season of Itazura na Kiss!

What a terrible hospital! That chick in the wheelchair’s still there after (roughly) six years???

On my God… Jinko married Howard Stern.

Irie-mama’s new project is Yuuki.

…
.
This totally screams last episode. But obviously, there’s another one. The episode was kinda boring actually. The highlight of it was the episode’s epilogue. There are many things about it that bother me…
First, why, if Naoki is such a genius that he was able to figure out Non-chan’s problem and that he is greatly admired by everyone in the hospital as the one who can do no wrong, is he being doubted when he stepped up to perform the surgery on Yuuko. Then it hit me, malpractice suit! But yeah, how can the staff that admired him so much suddenly have doubts about him.
Second, Kotoko is taking too much iron??? What the hell? She’s a nurse who works in a hospital full of doctors. Hell, her own husband is a doctor. What? She saw on TV that pregnant women are prone to anemia so she keeps taking? Then when her stomach starts bothering her, she didn’t even want to tell Naoki because she didn’t want to interfere with his work??? Waaaah… If I had any doctors in my family (and I don’t), I would be bugging them day and night for the slightest little pain I will feel. Especially considering that she has a baby inside her. It’s not just her. -_- Now I’m starting to think that the fact that she is often disappointed by Naoki’s lack of attention was her own doing since she won’t tell him stuff in fear of getting in his way. But she’d talk to him about trivial things like how Kin-chan and his mother-in-law are having problems already regarding the baby/
Third, LOL. Kotoko considers her daughter as her biggest rival for Naoki. I guess it’s genetic.
Well, I doubt next episode’s gonna be anything to complete the story since the credits on this episode tied up all the lose ends. What a way to end the series… with an obvious fller. -_-”’

I seriously thought this was the last ep too, and I think it should’ve been since the preview for next ep looks weird. ^^;;

LOL, the convenient tie loose ends up for all the side characters epilogue (I see they didn’t pair up Motoki and Keita like what I sorta feared from the OP). As cheesy as the end result of this series was… God I have to say I loved it from start to finish – I mean 2nd last episode -_-” ! (I guess I’m not as cynical as I used to be XD)

@hazy: i am not expecting anything story enhancing on the last episode. it’s probably a filler for the baby.
@evildevil: cake pr0n is good… chris wants to the world to be overran by shexy and handsham men… i’m not sure if this is good for my business… HMOs can go rot in hell!
@issa-sa: XD i read the wiki entry for itazura. i knew keita’s going for the wheelchaired chick. i was so taken aback when i saw keita and motoki on the OP and was like, “YES! yaoi action!”
