School Rumble San Gakki OVA 26 (END)

After Harima swept Tenma off her feet, he took her to the airport where, after arrangements of Eri, Mikoto, Yakumo, Akira and all the other people in their class, she would be able to catch up with Karasuma to the America and confess to him again. Tenma didn’t want to do it because she was already dumped during the walk-a-thon. Of course, because of the simple fact that Tenma was taken to the airport on impulse, she didn’t have anything on her, especially her passport.

So she was scheduled to leave on the next flight to America where Ikoto and Youko would come to drop off her stuff along with her passport. While they waited, they talked about harima’s type in girls. He claims that his taste in women didn’t ran in the fancy girls like Eri, but on someone who is clumsy blahblahblah, which generally described Tenma, but of course she was too dense to realize it. When she asked him why he was doing all that, he just answered that everything that Karasuma said was probably just a lie and that she should just keep in mind, there is someone who will come along and try to steal away from Karasuma.

When Tenma left, all of her friends gathered at her house where Yakumo entertained everyone. Harima went to a bar and got into a fight. He was pretty beaten up by the next morning and was looked after by Eri. They got into a fight when he told her that he didn’t like to have anything to do with a loose girl like him. Eri got pissed off saying that just because she goes out with a lot of boys, she has never gone out on a real date because she always thought that she will, one day, end up with someone who loved her, but she didn’t think that day will come. Harima admitted to her that she woke him up and disappeared.

When Tenma got to America, everyone learned that Karasuma’s operation left him with the inability to think. Tenma looked after him until he remembered something and she announced that they were coming back to Japan because he remembered something. Everyone in their class (even the ones that weren’t) were organized together by Hanai. They had a pie fight and when Tenma was about to be hit by a pie, Karasuma blocked it. But when he missed one, it was caught by Harima.

Seeing him, Karasuma recognized him but ended up telling him that he was Hanai instead of Harima. He apologized to Tenma, when she ended up in tears and him being pelted by pies by everyone for making a girl cry.

For the sole reason that the pairing I’ve been rooting for is Tenma and Harima, the scene in the airport reduced me to tears. Well, that and the fact that I’m such a sucker for these kinda of situations. Again, this series failed me again by not having a concrete ending for any of the chracters as it did when they shows Nigakki. Especially since this is not one of the series that I don’t follow in manga. sure, it ended the classic School Rumble way, but… Argh! Knowing it ends the way it is, I’m not really that interested in watching episodes 1-14 (EDIT: My error. It’s 24, not 14.) of the third season. But for the sake of the lulz, I do.
