Junjou Romantica 2 01 ~

While Usami was molesting Misaki, Isaka (Usami’s publisher) and Aikawa (Usami’s editor) barged in the room to announce that there was going to be a party that will be thrown in his honor at some fancy hotel. Of course, with Usami’s dislike for people, he wasn’t really interested, but it’s part of his responsibilities to his fans. To ultimately convince him, Isaka used chibi-tan (Misaki) by telling Usami that it will be a treat to his little uke since he’s not used to such a life so Misaki would enjoy it very much.

Misaki grudgingly agreed. And on the day of the party, Misaki thought about getting Usami a gift. He didn’t have enough money on him (just about 3,000 yen) so he went to a florist where Nowaki worked. Nowaki arranges a real nice bouquet of roses for him.

At the train station, he met some dude who looked like he didn’t know where to go and looked lost in the station. He offered to show him to Teito Hotel since he was on his way there to. He tried to strike a conversation but the man is aloof.  When the man blasted Usami’s book, Misaki’s loyalty kicked in. In his head anyway.

When he was finally revealed to be Haruhiko, Usami’s older brother (you really wouldn’t know especially considering how everyone in this series looks so much like each other), and they got into an argument, Misaki lost it and defended Usami in front of Isaka.

He drags Usami when the elevator and he continued his angry rant in their room. After a short conversation, it all ended the same way it always with between the two of them… with buttsecks. ~This is starting to become standard in Romantica -_-

The next morning, Haruhiko sent Misaki a bouquet of flowers.

Thoughts:

I really missed the first season’s OP. That was a really awesome song. S2’s OP isn’t as catchy as that one. But the ED this season is a vast improvement over last season’s.

I’m not really too thrilled at the fact that they started the season with this arc. Too much dorama for a first arc than what I want from this light-hearted yaoi. For this season anyway, I am hoping for more Egoist and Terrorist because I like their stories more. Romantica’s fun but this arc just reeks of dorama.

Anyway, I would probably be watching this but not blogging. Maybe I will be blogging this in clumps of two or three if and when the subs come out. This season has too many awesome premieres that I would just rather blog about those. And anyway, the show’s only subber, aarinfantasy, is still in the middle of the subbing the DVD versions so it may be a while before they release any subs of this. But I could be wrong. And anyway, I’m not as enthused about the show anymore as I was during the first season… I think I was right to think that it was because the first season has the novelty of being the first yaoi I’ve seen ~if you don’t count Geass.

What the hell am I talking about??? I’m still gonna watch it. I just won’t be blogging about it. And anyway, I’m still reading the manga… ~.~
