Ga-Rei –Zero– 05 ~Obstinate Feelings~

Yes! Lovers’ quarrels are always funner if you have spiritual beasts.
.
I’m not really sure if I should be entertained this episode because it resembles my favorite genre, shoujo, or if I should be pissed off because it resembles a shoujo.
.

That chick in the wheelchair is such a cockblocker for delicious violence.
.
Come on… where are the monsters and the senseless violence so vehemently promised in the first two episodes of this series. This is episode is nothing more than a cheese-flavored story of a couple in an arranged engagement and the well-meaning loli who wants them to make up. *Sigh* Frankly, apart from the time when Yomi meets up with the Defense Ministry’s Supernatural Division, the only thing that’s keeping me interested in this show is to learn how Yomi fell from grace that she ended up hating everyone.
But… I’m not interested in this. Seriously, if I wanna watch shoujo, I’ll watch a shoujo. But yes, it’s nice that they have a level of humanity in them and that they can be silly and all that stuff every episode, but do they really have to see it almost every episode since episode three??? When the first flashback episode came, I thought I will end up treating it like “A Day in Ashford Academy” (read: unnecessary filler episode that doesn’t really add anything to the story other than something for the fans) episode. I’m not actually expecting every episode to be so.
.

Domestic violence at it’s finest. It’s only fun when the girl can actually fight back with as much strength.
.
Having too much of this kinda takes out the GAR from all the characters when you first see episode 3-4. Kagura and Yomi definitely lost it for me and the Nabuu twins are becoming increasingly annoying. But in all honesty, I thought Yomi and Nori makes a cute couple.
