Lydia has been working at Edgar’s place, but Edgar pretty much just flirts with him. There was a moments when Tompskins and Lydia were talking about one of the Blue Earl’s descendants being taken into the fairy world to become the bridegroom of the Fairy Queen (of the Moon Fields). But he got away by casting a spell.

When Edgar started flirting with her heavily, she just murmured something about using the moon spell on him if it would work on a human. Then they got into a discussion about the guys in Lydia’s past. Not that there were many. But she mentioned that a fairy wanted to take her away (who she casted the moon spell on) and the boys in her home who only handed her a letter because of a dare.

Anyway, a dance instructor came to teach Lydia how to dance since Edgar will be throwing a ball. A loli fairy showed up with the help of Nico and wanted to see the earl. As she was leaving, she heard the loli fairy say that she will finally be meeting the fairy queen’s bridegroom, which distracted Lydia, which resulted to her and Raven (who was her dance partner) to fall on the floor. Then her dance instructor saw the opportunity and attacked them with a knife. Of course, Raven was fast on his feet and was able to chase him away.

OK, next time someone French and gay comes over my house to teach me how to dance, I’ll frisk him for knives.

Anyway, Marigold (the loli fairy) finally got an audience with edgar and was told that her mistress finally found the moon for him so they can continue with the marriage. But the moon was lost and swindled off by an evil fairy dude and exchanged it with a pebble. Nico found the pebble suspicious since it was covered with moss to which Lydia thought about it being impossible that it could be that guy.

Oh well… at least he admitted that he’s not a pedobear.

At the ball, Edgar asked Lydia ro wear a large (GUADY!!! ;A; ) rose corsage, which caught the attention of everyone because it’s just like the one that Edgar is wearing. While she was being a wallflower since edgar was being a social butterfly, Lydia met Paul,the artist who painted a painting of Tytania (the queen of the fairies who looks just like Lydia). He asked her to dance but Nico came and they went to the balcony where Kelpie showed up asking Lydia to come back to Scotland with her.

And here I thought this show won’t have any attempts for fanservice…

Kelpie told her that she managed to to get the moon for her and tried to push it at Lydia but Paul stepped in and Kelpie ended up wearing the ring on his finger. Then Edgar came where kelpie told him to stop dressing Lydia up as a doll. He was able to pick a fight with Edgar, but Raven stepped in.

When Kelpie left, reasoning that an aquatic horse like him won’t be able to stay on dry land for long, edgar finally claimed Lydia for a dance. And since she was such a klutz on her lessons and Edgar was just good at leading, edgar said that they should just always make up for each other’s shortcomings.

And later Edgar just told her that since she’s not the typical girl, she could even consider guys like Kelpie or Paul, but Lydia said that it’s none of business because it wasn’t like he was in love with her. Then she asked him to stop playing games with her and ran away. Edgar completed on how much his future wife hated him, but Tompskins said that all women hate their husbands as he handed edgar a threatening note about his false claims to be the Blue Knight Earl.

But his superfluous sweet talk is one of the things that makes this show so awesome!

Awww… this is generally what I was looking forward to in this story: the rabu-rabu.  But yeah… Edgar’s cheesy lines are always awesome… not that I ever want to hear that from anyone I know because they will probably either get beaten the crap out of or be laughed out to utter humiliation. I just wonder why it sounds so different if someone who says them emits sparkles.

This episode is both awesome and so funny at the same time. both awesome and so funny at the same time. I love Kelpie! He’s so fun. XD He’s so obstinate that he’s awesome!

Watching this episode is a lot like reading a lot of the cheesy Victorian romance novels that I read in high school: “Tomboyish girl is now sought after by so many dudes but she’ll probably end up with the duke/earl/count.” It’s still cute though. Seriously though, if Edgar’s bewildered that Lydia wouldn’t believe that he’s in love with her, he really should stop with the lines. -_-”’ I actually watched the sixth episode already in raw, but for the love of me, I couldn’t understand a damn word. Will still have to wait for the subs… ~_~

I have stopped thinking about what else could possibly happen in the upcoming episodes. It just keeps on thinking up of twists (not in a bad way) that it’s hard to predict what will happen. I guess this is one of the things that I appreciate about this show… In the sea of predictable plotlines in many animes that have been released recently, the unpredictability is welcomed.
