Hakushaku to Yousei 06 ~White Moon Red Moon~

Like I said… it’s because of the sparkles and the winRAR lines.
.
Another little fairy named Sweetpea came into Edgar’s mansion to look for Marigold. The ring is still stuck on Paul’s finger so Sweetpea said that they can just introduce Paul as the Earl since the queen wouldn’t know. But edgar wouldn’t give up Paul either because he’s been commissioned to do some decorating at the mansion.
.

I don’t really think it’s such a good idea to give your “rival” quality time with your “girlfriend”.
.
One of those things was make a painting of Lydia. When Lydia and Paul were in the garden for it, they get into a discussion that Paul liked the earl because Edgar reminded him of a boy he met when he was 16 years old and encouraged him to paint. That boy was sickly and died with his parents in a fire, but it was such a shame because Pail wanted him to see that he has become a proper artist. Lydia remembered that Edgar’s parents died when he was 12.
Later that day, she asked Edgar is he was sickly when he was a kid and he said that he had asthma. Then Kelpie showed up and was driven away by Lydia’s bible and Edgar’s liver pate (which aquatic horses like him are unable to eat).
.

Like all pretty things, Edgar is only pretty to look at as long as he doesn’t open his mouth.
.
Before going home, Edgar noticed that Paul gave Lydia gave a sketch of an iris, which is pretty much a love letter if symbolisms apply. Then they got into a discussion about their feelings for one another. Edgat sid that he always believed that he would be able to be the Bleu Knight Earl as long as she doesn’t turn her back on him.
.

It is??? That never stopped a couple of people I know.
.
Lydia said that they should be more conscious about their status as employer and fairy doctor. He just said that things like those can be easily changed if they wanted.
Then Edgar moved in for the kill and kissed her… hand. (My head seriously headdesked…. He was so close, damnit! But I guess this is one of the drawbacks of watching shoujo is that things like that won’t come until the end of the series. -_-”’ This is why I watch yaoi.) Then Paul showed up before he could further harass Lydia.
.

This show seriously treats kissing like pr0n.
.
She went home frustrated with Edgar but was comforted by Kelpie when he brought her a little chick – he at the chicken. When he asked her how it made her feel and she reflected that she wanted to protect Edgar just like the chick.
.

Kelpie brings her a cute little chick. Whatever happened to good ol’ diamonds?
.
Edgar went to consult Lydia’s father about the moonstone. Eventually, they got into a discussion about falling in love with a fairy doctor and the Professor said that he stole his wife away from her family and fairy friends. But it is all because when you meet the one person which will become the reason for everything that matters would not matter anymore.
.

Torment her why don’t you?
.
The next day, Edgar met Lydia at her doorstep where he asked if she has already forgiven her about what happened. She said that if they just avoid the subject, she will eventually forget about it. But Edgar, being Edgar didn’t want her to forget about it since it
Edgar once again placed the topic to Paul and she just reiterated that he’s kist misunderstanding everything because he was only concerned that Edgar remains a gentleman. And that he is a painter who only wants to show to the young lord he met in his youth that he has become a full-fledge artist. Edgar then excused himself.
.

… because he never tells her anything.
.
Edgar went to Paul’s place where he caught Paul without the ring and asked him about why he would fake his way into his mansion by saying that he’s still unable to get it off. The night before, Paul was told by some old dudes to kill Edgar using poison because he’s an imposter who is one of the Prince’s men. When he served him tea laced with poison, Edgar just told Paul that he’s a more of a painter than a poet, which is one of the things that the young lord he met told him. Then a woman came in and stabbed Edgar.
In bed because the knife was laced with a lethal snake poison, Lydia knew of one way to save him. Then a chick outside Edgar’s mansion looked up to windows calling him “Edgar-sama”.
.
Thoughts:

The only winRAR line Edgar ever used in this episode. How sad.
.
I am a little saddened by the fact that Edgar started talking like a normal dude when courting a girl that he’s in love with ;A; Well yeah… girls would be much happier with straight-forward talk from guys that they like, but audiences like me would rather hear the bullshit for the lulz. But then again, he’s actually scarier with his random straight-forward declarations of love.
BTW, despite the series’ cliffhanging mysterious new person that appears after the ED rolls, I’m now more for the time when Lydia and Edgar would get together. Each episode ends up so simply that there’s really not much of a point on waiting for something deeper than it already is to happen.
My big surprise to me in this episode is that Edgar is a son of a duke… that’s a wee bit of a demotion when he took in the title of earl. (Hell yea, years of reading too many cheesy Victorian romance novels prove useful when it comes to Debrett’s Peerage and Baronetage!) My issue with it is I am too confused with a lot of the minor details of this show that I don’t know what to follow anymore. So what? Too many things vague backgrounders about I don’t think they may never get resolved. -_-”’
But yeah, this passing fancy anime is being watch to see how far Edgar can get away with his lines and when he and Lydia will finally get together.
